February 2019 saw another National Geographic Explorers Festival in the London, UK. Over the course of 4 days, 24 National Geographic Explorers get trained in Leadership, Public Speaking, Photography and Videography. The event is then capped off by an Explorers Spotlight where all 24 Explorers present a 3 minute talk to showcase their new skills, followed by the Explorers Symposium which brings together a larger collection of Explorers from around the UK to talk about some of the challenges the natural world is facing right now.
Kumba co-founder Huw James travelled down to London to help train the Nat Geo Explorers in Public Speaking and Filmmaking. The National Geographic Explorers Bootcamp covered an array of disciplines with talks from Nat Geo photographers, presidential communications experts and more.
The 24 Explorers then attended the National Geographic Spotlight day where they each delivered a talk about their work in 3 minute sessions. Some then went on to speak at the larger Symposium the next day. Live Stream of the whole event here:
